I have a 9 year old cat who has now scratched my 7 month old on the face, near her eyes, twice in the last month and for the last 7 years has attacked and scratched guests in our home. I do not know what to do with him anymore. I can’t always keep the cat and baby away from each other and I can’t put him in a seperate room the entire weekend when guests are here. I’m concerned for the safety of my baby and guests and am to the point that I want to find him a new home, but I don’t feel right about giving someone a cat who attacks people and shelters won’t take him because he is 9 years old. Does anyone have any suggestions?
